"Music and art in nature" is a central theme at Full Moon Resort. Music is always in the air, with summer shows in the Concert Tent, parties and dances in Performance Space, and intimate acoustic performances in the Café. The experience of audience and artist alike is heightened in each of these magical environments.
Full Moon presents live music as an integral part of a comprehensive event package, complete with meals, country inn accommodations, camping (in the warmer months) and full access to over one hundred acres of picturesque grounds. These events offer guests the opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family and the unique experience of actually meeting, spending time… and occasionally, even jamming with the performing artists.
The roadhouse-style Performance Space operates year-round with a schedule of concerts, dances, artist showcases, and private parties and is available for unique destination weddings. The natural wood interior and beamed ceilings offer superb acoustical properties, making the space ideally suited for pre-tour rehearsals and on-site recording sessions. The room, with its barn-like warmth, has a capacity of one hundred fifty and features high quality audio and lighting systems, back-line equipment, a 24'x12' carpeted stage, dressing rooms with private bath, stone fireplace, hardwood floors and a copper-top bar. In the warmer months, nationally recognized touring artists grace the stage at Full Moon's Concert Tent. Centered on the expansive front lawn, with a capacity of three hundred and fifty, this facility offers the feel of an open-air concert...with no possibility for dampened spirits.
Afternoon shows are enhanced by a "Sizzlin' Blues" Barbeque, always with vegetarian options. In the evening, glowing embers rise to the stars at impromptu acoustic jam sessions around the campfire. Guests are encouraged to bring instruments.
During the ski season, the nights get longer and the lights at the Inn seem to shine even brighter as the Winter Café Concert Series. The artistically rustic, sixty-seat Full Moon Café, offering colorful art exhibits, splendid cuisine and a superb wine list, is the setting for ten weeks of intimate performances by some of the Northeast's premier singer-songwriters. Past performances, hosted by Michael Visceglia, have included Rex Fowler (from Aztec Two Step), guitar virtuoso Vicki Genfan, Windham Hill recording artist Cliff Eberhardt, Rebecca Martin, KJ Denhert, beatnik folk-jazz trio, Dave's True Story, Amy Fairchild, Jon Albrink, Vicki Russell, Amy Correia, Amanda Homi, Elric Walker, Rachael Sage, The Analogues w/Lach, Sasha Dobson w/Richard Julian, Jenny Bruce, Christina Abbott, Ina May Wool, Jill Stevenson, Julia Douglass, Allison Cornell and Jodi Shaw . Each and every show has been simply exquisite.
