The Full Moon Cross Country Skiing Experience

For the past four winters, Full Moon Resort has attracted guests visiting the Catskills with its magical blend of cross country skiing, superb dining, comfortable country-inn accommodations, and the beauty of the surrounding wilderness preserve.

x-c ski catskillsCross-country skiing is a highlight of Full Moon's winter landscape. Acres of fields, groomed trails and gentle slopes are just right for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at all levels... and the facility provides rental equipment at very affordable rates. Winter sports equipment is also available for sale at Full Moon's retail shop.

Full Moon offers a mix of groomed and ungroomed trails, including recently created hillside trails on the slopes of Panther Mountain, rising up from the central compound of lodges, cottages and cabins.Link to larger printable version of Full Moon Trail Map The facility offers two learning areas, three kilometers of groomed trails and two kilometers of ungroomed trails. Also available is a five kilometer snowshoe trail separate from the cross country ski trails. (View larger printable version of the adjacent Trail Map>>>)

Other winter activities include sledding, tobogganing, winter camping, and AMC and ADK winter workshops.

Three other Nordic Centers and four alpine ski areas are within a 15-45 minute drive.
