From December through March, Full Moon
Resort, nestled in a valley surrounded by snow-caps, is a
perfect setting for getaway winter weekends or mid-week escapes in the Catskill Mountains. The resort is a
magical world of its own in the wintertime months, with singles,
families and groups all enjoying the splendor of the property's
expansive snow-covered lawns, open fields and trails… and
the grandeur of the neighboring mountain ski centers. Downhill and
cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing and ice skating are
all sparkling facets of wintertime fun at nearby facilities. Envision
these exciting outdoor activities, wrapped in a warm blanket of
amenities like good company, comfortable accommodations and lodging,
excellent cuisine and a café performance series, for a
complete picture of the Full Moon winter experience.
After an invigorating day on the nearby slopes or at the resort, enjoy an exquisite buffet dinner at the Full Moon Café. Our Chef applies classic techniques with a New American flair to make every dining experience at Full Moon a celebration of fresh cuisine. After a comfortable night in one of the facilities lodges or cottages, wake up to a special continental buffet breakfast before hitting the slopes or the trails again.
A centerpiece of winter fun
at Full Moon is downhill skiing &
snowboarding. Belleayre Mountain, just
fifteen minutes down the road, has become one of the premier family ski
centers in the state. Hunter Mountain and Ski Plattekill, each about a
thirty minute drive and Windham Mountain, forty five
minutes away, have also long been considered superb Catskill Mountain
ski areas.
With over a hundred acres of fields, meadows and wooded areas, Full Moon is a wonderful site for rustic (ungroomed) cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Guests are asked to bring their own equipment. For those who prefer highly groomed trails and ski rentals, the Frost Valley XC Ski Center is just a few miles away.
